When I enter the forum colors, after checking it over several times it continues to say that there is an error and not all colors are in a proper hex format. Help?

Hi, karibe. You need to be careful when inputing the hex codes as the input fields only allow for 6 digits. When copying and pasting it sometimes happens that you copy an empty character space, that messes things up.

Check that all six digits have been entered properly, and that should solve your problem. :)

Thanks for the quick response. It was just the text in my notepad makes zeros and o’s look similar, my own fault! lol. Sorry.

Okay so I made sure that all the six digits were there and all of them are the right numbers but it still says that it is not the right hex format

That’s weird, Tracy. Perhaps if you link a screenshot of your create/modify skin page (with the inputed hex codes), I could take a look at it for you.

Ok, I have the same situation as Tracy. All the time, I try downloading a really good layout and the skin colour codes never work. It has happened to me lots of times before and I have double checked every time that there isn’t no spaces and anything else. But the codes simply won’t work.

I am suggesting to not only this site, but to everyone who makes layouts to actually properly test all their codes and HEX colours. I’m not saying that mahud doesn’t do it because I don’t know, but again I’m speaking to all layout makers, designers etc.. Please do it. If your making a layout to be for proboards, make sure that it works on proboards!

Hi, Clara. I understand how frustrating it can be installing a template with missing images, wrong information, messed up code, etc. Especially when someone is unfamiliar with how a ProBoards forums works.

All my template downloads were tested by myself after creating them. While it is possible for small errors to pop up which need fixing, I’ve never found an error with the colour codes, although many users have had difficulty inputting them, they manage to figure it out in the end.

I’ve downloaded the temp and added the Grendel colours to my test board, without encountering any errors, and the colours work no problem.

You say that everything has been double checked and nothing works, so there’s not much more I can say or do to help.

I hope you manage to fix things.

Hi, Khristian. It looks like you need to change the skin in your personal profile to the default skin.

Hi, I’m having a rather large problem with setting my defult skin on my proboard. I’ve created a skin and have put the code and colors in the right places and saved but everytime i move around my site, the created skin gets loaded in pieces then reverts back to the original defult skin that came with proboards. The only page that holds my created skin is the log in page. Do you know whats wrong?
